Delta Airlines Update August 10, 2016

Delta Airlines continues to experience delays and cancelations due to their computer outage earlier this week. The carrier has decided to extend their travel waiver to cover flights traveling on Thursday August 11, 2016.

  • Impacted Travel Dates : August 8 - 11, 2016
  • Ticket must be reissued before : August 21, 2016
  • Rebooked travel must begin no later than : August 21, 2016

Delta Airlines Update August 09, 2016

Delta Airlines is still experiencing residual delays and cancelations due to yesterday's computer outage. Per their latest 8:30am update, they are canceling around 300 flights today and are advising passengers to expect delays.

Please check with your travel agent or Delta Airlines to see if your flight has been affected. 

Delta is also extending their travel waiver to cover flights on August 9.

If you were scheduled to travel on Monday August 8 and Tuesday August 9, 2016 on a Delta operated flight, you are entitled to the following:

  • A one-time change without a fee (rebooked travel must begin no later than August 12 / tickets must be reissued on or before August 12)
  • If your flight has been severely delayed or canceled, passengers are entitled to a refund.

Delta Airlines Update August 8, 2016

 

A power outage this morning has impacted Delta Airlines’ reservation system and is causing system wide flight delays and cancelations. As of this afternoon some flights are departing but Delta’s flight operations continue to be disrupted. 

Delta is offering the following options for passengers:

 

  •  A one-time change free of charge (travel must commence before August 12 / ticket must be reissued before August 12).
  • If your flight has been canceled or significantly delayed, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • For any changes outside these guidelines normal fare rules apply
